A new year greeting card. Why is it in Japanese? Well Ive just started a language course and would like to show off in front of my friends. Its suppose to fold-hence the border lines. A bit late , but since the Orthodox new year comes on the 13th on January, for some it may be early.
Oh and a special apology to all that consider Japanese native - Sorry for butchering you're language.

Instead of "happy new year" you could write in japanese: あけましておめでとうございます。
Next time ;)
Nice card. Would like to see a bigger version for the detail...

You see in my country Santa Claus is actually Grandfather winter (literary) and he comes by on new years eve instead on Christmas. We do celebrate Christmas but it is dated on the old calendar rather than the new Gregorian, so it actually comes after the Gregorian new year. Confusing isn't it.

I guess when you're head is mounted on a rocket ,propelled several thousand miles per hour, without any real steering or breaks, a slight expression of insane panic is rather understandable.
